The purpose of establishing Hazara Electric Supply Company is to improve the supply of electricity in the areas under the control of Peshawar Electric Supply Company, reduce line losses and provide convenience to consumers. Subsidy has been abolished in consumer bills, heavy price of electricity has been set even for those who use 100 units, according to the sources, the price per unit has been increased from 7.74 to 13.48 rupees for the use of 100 units. While those who use 200 units will get 18 rupees 58 paisa instead of 10 rupees 06 paisa. For those who use 300 units, the rate per unit is 21 rupees 47 paisa. Per unit rate of 400 units per month will be 24 rupees 63 paise. Earlier, the monthly rate of 301 units to 400 units was 14 rupees 63 paise. The price per unit for 500 units will be Rs 26 9 paise, for 600 units it will be Rs 27 1 paise and for those using 700 units the rate will be Rs 27 65 paise per unit. Consumption of more than 700 units of electricity will be charged per unit rate of 31 rupees 12 paise.
