In the LESCO region, 25,000 meters are damaged every month due to rains and technical reasons. On the other hand, the staff of Junbesco Liberty Sub-Division has been overbilling the workshop owner for two months on a faulty meter in a power theft case. Two months ago, his three-phase meter was burnt, which was coded with fact code, but LESCO staff did not change the meter. Later, the meter was replaced with a bribe of Rs 15,000.
