LESCO has introduced the net metering facility for all tube well users. Through this system, tube well users will be able to get not only cheap electricity but also uninterrupted electricity by installing solar panels. LESCO Chief Executive Chaudhry Muhammad Amin has said that it is now very easy to develop the agricultural sector and ensure an uninterrupted supply of electricity as per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan on the instructions of Energy Minister Hamad Azhar and Energy Secretary Syed Asif Haider Shah. Through the steps, customers can install their tube well meters on net metering and for net metering connection up to 25 kW load, approval and license from NEPRA are not required. LESCO has so far received more than 6,000 applications from domestic and industrial customers, of which more than 4,000 connections have been installed.
